Ubuntu MA InstallFest
Submitted by DPic on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 1:18am.
I would like to invite everyone here to the Ubuntu Massachusetts Local Community Team's upcoming Installation Festival.
Who are we?
We are a group of volunteers and activists organized around the Ubuntu
operating system. We advocate digital freedom and promote Ubuntu as a
means of achieving this.
What's an InstallFest?
An InstallFest, or Installation Festival, is an event held for people to
see, try, and get Ubuntu for themselves. Anyone is free to bring in
their own computer to have Ubuntu installed on it, or to just come
and see Ubuntu on other machines and get a chance to experience it
for themselves.
When: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EST
Where: Wiesner Building, E15 (in other terms, "the lower atrium of the Media Lab")
20 Ames Street
Cambridge, MA 02139
We would love to have you come and learn about Ubuntu as it is a great solution for schools.

Sounds like fun
This sounds like great fun. Would love to hear a brief report about how it went. I'm out of town on vacation this weekend, so I can't drop by.
But...now that you mention it, DrupalCon2008 (Drupal? Conference 2008) is coming up Monday-Thursday, March 3-6. I DO play to make at least some of that event. I'll post an event notice about it.
