PTO Sites & Directories Meeting 06/30/08

CHARTER
We met and discussed project scope, as described in the PTO Sites & Directories Project Plan. We've divided the project into three parts. We're in the process of establishing teams to define and carryout the action items for each project.

I realize this seems like very soon, but hopefully we will have some progress to review, and I also want to synchronize with other team members who did not make our first meeting (e.g., Charles, Peter, Libba).

 

 

PTO Sites & Directories Meeting 07/07/08

DISCUSSION

We spent most of our time walking through the
installation of www.northptso.org and getting familiar with the way the
modules and themes work. We focused especially on CiviCRM - the way it
is installed and how to work with it.

We also spent some time
talking about hosting requirements and potenial options, including:
Dreamhost, buying/configuring our own serve and hosting it in NPS? data
center or with someone else.

We agreed on a few action items below, but not on a next meeting time. Erik will propose the next time and see who can make it.

• Review Drupal Themes and identify favorite ones -- ALL
• Review Resources captured for Drupal in Education group.
  In particular, look at the K-12 school sites, to see what other schools
  are doing (I realize this isn't PTO sites, but it's still useful).-- ALL
• Identify 1-2 favorite school sites from the Resources page.-- ALL
• Document NNHS PTO Directory Requirements (data elements for students, parents, households, etc., reports needed from directory) -- LJCohen
